Dear Friends, The success of Between The Folds in recent months has surpassed our wildest hopes. I feel honored to have had the chance to work with the remarkable artists, scientists and mathematicians in the film, and to help in the effort to bring their incredible work and research to greater light. And we hope to continue doing so! However, the costs of taking the film from festival to festival have become overwhelming - far beyond our means. We currently risk having to severely curtail - or cancel - our activities, including festival screenings, unless we can raise $20,000, at a minimum, to cover a broad range of expenses. These include travel, final re-mastering, print, web, marketing, and the costs of securing potential DVD distribution. Our extremely lean team is working 7 days a week, 100% volunteer. Please help in any way you can. Every dollar will go directly to supporting the film, and its ability to reach new audiences, and provide a voice for artists, scientists, paperfolders and creative minds. We've donated hundreds and hundreds of hours to help individual artists across the world by providing custom-made videos for their own promotion, as well as a popular and acclaimed short film for the Mingei Masterworks exhibit, and a 90-minute special-edition DVD for Origami-USA to use in their fundraising.
